Mix-Tape Monday
I used to listen to music ALL the time. There was always something on in the background or something that I would turn up loud to dance to. Music has come back to me recently, after months of not listening to any at all I have finally got my groove back.
Music has an amazing power to sum up a mood, invoke a memory or provoke an emotion. We all have that song; the one that gives you goose bumps, the one that speaks to you more than any other.
We also all have a guilty pleasure song, a feel good song, a song for when we’re feeling sorry for ourselves, a sing along in the shower song. And then there’s the background music to life. Those songs that we like for no reason other than they’re there.
And this is how Mix-Tape Monday was born.
Each Monday, you pick a song. Some weeks it can be anything that you feel like, other weeks I might get around to setting a theme. You can write about the song if you want to, tell us why you have chosen it or why it means something to you, or you can just post the link to the video.
It’s the perfect feel good Monday meme! Start the week by turning it up loud, singing at the top of your voice and dance like no one’s watching!
