I can’t find the words to excuse this. For a fleeting few weeks, thanks to a fold out poster in Smash Hits, Ronan was my first ever pop star crush. I quickly saw the error of my ways.

Love it! Mine was Dana (we must have a mutual love of the Irish accent). I used to kiss the TV screen whenever she was on. Think I was only about 5 at the time. Even at that age I was a bit fickle though as by the time I was 6 I’d ditched her for Cheryl Baker from Bucks Fizz.
